What should an addition or ADU roofing quote include?
The quote should name the roof assembly, its junctions and who completes the adjoining work. A low total is not a useful comparison if it omits the flashing or interior reinstatement.
- Covering and approved assembly for the actual roof slope.
- Deck preparation, underlayment, edges, valleys and roof penetrations.
- New-to-existing roof and wall connections, including material opened and restored.
- Gutters and discharge routes for the finished roof shape.
- Insulation, ventilation and glazing coordination shown in the project plans.
- Protection, cleanup and a written approval process for concealed damage.
Can you coordinate glass and interior finishing?
Yes. Lacey Glass is our preferred partner for agreed specialty glazing, windows and sunroom glass. Solis Interiors handles agreed drywall, ceiling finishing and paint. We bring in the right specialist for each repair or installation, with roofing and weatherproofing kept in the roof scope.
That is especially useful where an addition opens an existing wall, a new skylight changes the ceiling, or a patio enclosure needs both glazing and a finished interior.
Does an ADU or enclosed patio need more than a roofing permit?
A new habitable addition or ADU follows a whole-building review path, beyond its roof covering. Olympia and Lacey publish separate addition/ADU and reroof application routes. Unincorporated Thurston County distinguishes rural and urban-growth-area ADU requirements.
We scope the roofing and agreed trade coordination. Structural design, ADU eligibility and full-building approvals remain part of the wider building project. For an existing patio enclosure or roof retrofit, the review path follows the actual scope.
